From October 2-5, 2025, Lighthouse Point Yacht Club (LPYC) and Rick Obey Yacht Sales joined forces to create a seamless and unforgettable experience as Ocean Reef came alive with the energy and glamour of a Studio 54 - 70's Throwback Weekend. The celebration channeled the spirit of the disco era with dazzling lights, disco balls, retro beats, bold fashion statements, and nonstop dancing that captured the iconic nightlife vibe of the 70's. With immersive décor and an electrifying atmosphere reminiscent of the legendary club scene, the event became a true highlight of the season and a celebration guests will never forget
Thursday - October 2th, 2025: The Grand Welcome
The event began with a smooth and welcoming check-in at the Key Largo Building from 1 PM to 4 PM, setting the tone for an exceptional weekend ahead. Guests were presented with exclusive Black ROYS Backpack Cooler Bags and Grey ROYS Cooler Tote Bags, adding a thoughtful and practical touch to their arrival. The little ones were warmly welcomed as well, receiving Kids T-Shirts and specially prepared goodie bags filled with fun toys and sweet treats, ensuring every member of the family felt part of the celebration.
Friday - October 3th, 2025: Dating Game
On Friday, we enjoyed a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, a lively participative Dating Game happening in real time with members of the club, and a fantastic live singing group! The event was a remarkable tribute to the 70's, bringing back nostalgic moments that delighted everyone. Families came together to share laughter, fun, and memorable experiences, making it a truly special gathering for all ages. lit was a celebration full of joy, good company, and lasting memories.
As the sun began to set, the Dock Hop kicked off-a party on the boat designed to end the day in the most spectacular way. The boat was aglow with lights, and the dock was fully illuminated, recreating the dazzling energy of Studio 54 in a floating, nautical setting. Guests were surrounded by shimmering lights, music, and a festive atmosphere, making it a memorable finale to an unforgettable day.
Saturday - October 4th, 2025: Rewind to Studio 54
Rewind to the glamour of Studio 54, where the evening transformed into a dazzling ballroom dinner. Disco balls sparkled overhead, scattering shimmering light across the room, while pulsating music set the rhythm for a night of pure celebration.
Guests savored an amazing dinner surrounded by great company, all immersed in a world of shine, lights, and glamour reminiscent of the iconic club. The atmosphere was alive with energy, a perfect blend of elegance, dance, and festivity, making everyone feel part of a Studio 54-style party, where every corner reflected glitz, glamour, and unforgettable time.
The experience reached its peak with a surprise visit from a fabulous drag queen, adding a playful and unforgettable touch that made the night truly complete.
