For the second year in a row, Rick Obey, founder of Rick Obey Yacht Sales, is preparing to run the Boston Marathon, continuing his commitment to endurance racing and charitable giving.
This year, Rick is running in support of the East Boston Salesian Boys & Girls Club, a Boston-based organization dedicated to providing youth with educational support, mentorship, and structured after-school programming. The club has served the community for decades, creating a safe environment where children and teens can build confidence, discipline, and leadership skills.
Rick is no stranger to long-distance racing. He has completed multiple marathons and returned to Boston after successfully running the course last year—one of the most challenging and historic races in the world. Balancing training with a demanding professional schedule, he approaches each race with the same focus and discipline that define his career.
Running Boston for a second consecutive year reflects Rick’s ongoing dedication to pushing personal limits while supporting organizations that make a lasting impact. Each mile run helps support programs that invest in the next generation and strengthen the community.
