1. Plan Your Day—and Your Shoes
FLIBS spans nearly 90 acres across multiple locations, from the Bahia Mar Yachting Center to the Superyacht Village. That means a lot of walking and a lot of boat hopping.
👟 Tip: Wear comfortable shoes that are easy to take on and off—many yachts will ask you to remove them before boarding. Bring a backpack or tote for brochures, water, and essentials.
2. Download the FLIBS App
The show’s official app is a lifesaver. You’ll get interactive maps, shuttle and water taxi routes, event schedules, and exhibitor lists—all in one place.
📲 Tip: Mark your “must-sees” ahead of time so you don’t miss key displays or yacht tours.
3. Get There Early (and Smart)
Parking can fill up fast. If you're driving, consider arriving early or using ride-share. Water taxis and shuttles are a scenic and efficient way to hop between show locations.
🅿️ Tip: If you're looking at large yachts or private tours, book appointments in advance with brokers. Walk-ups often aren’t allowed for high-end models.
4. Dress to Impress—But for the Weather
While South Florida in October is beautiful, it's also hot and humid with the occasional rain shower.
👗 Tip: Opt for light, breathable clothing and bring sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, and a light rain jacket or umbrella—just in case.
5. Ask Questions, Take Notes, Follow Up
If you're boat shopping or just browsing, engage with brokers and builders. Ask about build timelines, ownership costs, customization options, and charter potential.
Tip: Bring business cards or a digital contact card. After the show, follow up with your favorite contacts while it’s fresh in your mind.
