GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This majestic 56-metre megayacht is one of the largest ships planned by Astondoa, and it is only surpassed by the 197’ Steel that is also under way.
It is a spectacular and luxurious transoceanic ship that is specifically designed for long journeys, and also a modern masterpiece of naval architecture in terms of design and engineering. The exterior stands out for the precision of its geometric shapes.
The large surfaces meld together seamlessly thanks to the use of CAD technology. The contemporary design elements and high-tech nature, combined with the seductive and dynamic style, result in exciting sensations of power and energy.
This ship comes together as a balanced element with the perfect natural style that honours the timeless beauty of classic yachts. The 85’ Steel has a conical, streamlined hull. The top section leans towards the stern and drops only in the last third of the hull. All the portholes above the waterline are strictly geometric.
The immense space of this megayacht is the definition of luxury, and the social and private areas are proof of its status. The lavish furniture and the exquisite décor, along with the seven luxurious suites, convey a certain sense of royalty. There are 12 cabins for crew members.
A large galley is located next to the enormous dining area for an impeccable service. On the upper level, the saloon boasts impressive panoramic views and leads to an enormous outdoor shaded terrace.
The owner’s cabin is equipped with large windows that offer spectacular views, and it also has direct access to a private patio for basking in the sun and relaxing.
A skylight behind the bridge allows the sun to shine into the well-equipped gym that leads to a vast open-air terrace with a wet bar and a round swimming pool for sunbathing. This yacht has everything that is needed to make life on board as pleasant as possible.
The large engine room of the 185’ Steel will house two powerful MTU 16V4000 engines, each with 1850 HP. The yacht will be able to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. It will be equipped with two sets of Northern Lights long-life generators (155 kW each) to supply all the power needed to operate the services and equipment on board.
